Anyone heard of Sia?

Hi guys! As some of you know, I'm a fan of Sia. If you haven't heard of her,
she writes songs for other artists and also composes her own music. She
sounds powerful and amazing! well, to me anyways. :d She puts so much
emotion in her songs and it makes you actually feel something. Before, she
used to be in 2 groups, 07 and Crisp. but now, she is a solo artist and decides
to not be famous meaning that she faces away from the camera. She wants
people to only know her of her music and not her looks; something I admire
about her. Thanks for reading, and post if you wanna! :)

Post 2 by sia fan bp (I'm going for the prolific poster awards!) on Tuesday, 03-May-2016 15:48:45

A little more I should tell you about Sia... I forgot to add this but she's the
one who wrote Riana's Diamonds and Titanium by David Guetta! She wrote for
other artists including, Katie peary, shakira, demi, and others! :)

if you need to hear her for yourself, here is a song.

Personally I think she's highly overrated. Her lyrics are weak and predictable,
and she can't right a good hook to save her life. Her vocals are strong, but
inaccurate. Her voice cracks, she tries too hard to hit notes she can't hit. She
sounds like she's bawling more than singing, and she doesn't really have an
identity. she doesn't sing about anything that other people haven't been making
a living singing about. There's nothing that sets her apart from other artists
besides her being a bad singer, and with people like selina Gomez and Katie
Perry, being a bad singer is nothing unique either.

But, please don't take that as an attack on your tastes. I support your right to
like anything you want. I'm sure we could find something I adore that you think
sounds like absolute crap if we tried.

Post 5 by forereel (Just posting.) on Thursday, 05-May-2016 7:16:41

I've heard of Sia. She fits the audience she sings for. Smile.

Post 6 by sia fan bp (I'm going for the prolific poster awards!) on Thursday, 05-May-2016 11:05:05

lol, cody. I've heard that way too many times so I'm not surprised. My friend
told that to me too. and yeh, agree with Wayne. :) lol, if I think you're music
is crap, then you'll understand. :d

Post 7 by sia fan bp (I'm going for the prolific poster awards!) on Thursday, 05-May-2016 11:07:01

and i'm not taking it personally. :) cody, voice your oppinion. everyone has a
right too. :)

Post 8 by Reyami (I've broken five thousand! any more awards going?) on Monday, 09-May-2016 23:42:47

And we all know what eventualy happens to the singers who try to sing out of their vocal range. Look at adelle, Mariah Carey, and Celine Dion. That last one ... well, she had five years of intense vocal training, including periods of silence so she could rest her voice after it broke in front of thousands back in the 1990's. Inappropriate or inadequate instruction, not just in singing, and not taking proper care of the instrument can lead to permanent injury.

Post 9 by sia fan bp (I'm going for the prolific poster awards!) on Tuesday, 10-May-2016 11:03:37

yes, that's true. But, IMO, (cody, don't judge), I think Sia does it purposely
to show emotion. and, I like that her voice cracks in the perfect places. other
artists mess that up.

Post 10 by forereel (Just posting.) on Tuesday, 10-May-2016 16:45:08

I wonder about the stories on Mariah Carey, .
I have current music from her now withen the last year, and she can still blow.
I wonder if that story was a plant to bring her down a peg?
Interesting.

Post 11 by sia fan bp (I'm going for the prolific poster awards!) on Tuesday, 10-May-2016 19:09:41

hmm, not sure wayne. want me to check? :) Mariah is amazing too. well, used
to be.

Post 12 by LittleSneezer (The Zone-BBS is my prison, but I like it here.) on Wednesday, 11-May-2016 16:50:24

I'm not a fan of all of Sia's stuff, but I do like her most recent album.

Post 13 by sia fan bp (I'm going for the prolific poster awards!) on Wednesday, 11-May-2016 20:07:08

yeah, me too. This Is Acting is full of fun songs! orriginally written for other
artists, the artists rejected and she kept them for herself and put them in her
album. I liked 1000 Forms Of Fear but I think this one is amazing! 1000 forms
of fear is sad, and repeats the same theme over and over. but, it's good.

Post 14 by sia fan bp (I'm going for the prolific poster awards!) on Wednesday, 11-May-2016 20:09:49

Did you know that Alive and Bird Set Free was written for adele? She
interestingly cut one but rejected both of them saying, "it's more of a Sia
song then mine."

Post 15 by LittleSneezer (The Zone-BBS is my prison, but I like it here.) on Saturday, 14-May-2016 21:36:37

I knew that "Alive" was originally meant for Adele, but I didn't know about the other song.

Post 16 by forereel (Just posting.) on Sunday, 15-May-2016 11:04:45

Speaking of Adele.
I researched her voice loss. It was not due to trying to sing above her range, but something she did when she was in her teens that came back to bother her if she sings to often.
She had surgery, and her doctor says she's improved.
Sia might not ever have a problem. It is difficult to say if a person has style, or lack of techneak when they crack.

Post 17 by SilverLightning (I've now got the silver prolific poster award! wahoo!) on Sunday, 15-May-2016 13:15:06

Just for fun Marilyn, because you really can like anyone you like, here's what
a professional music critic wrote about Sia's upper range. Upper chest voice
belts (those past Eb5 usually) are horribly strained and pinched, and are never
mixed, leading to cracks. Her voice cracks, though they appeal to some, show
signs of vocal damage either due to substance abuse, poor vocal technique, or
both. She also utilizes vocal fry very often, though this could also be seen as an
emotive positive

Post 18 by AgateRain (Believe it or not, everything on me and about me is real!) on Sunday, 15-May-2016 19:37:29

Yeah, this board can die already. Beyoncé can't sing, and she's better than her, sorry.

Post 19 by sia fan bp (I'm going for the prolific poster awards!) on Monday, 16-May-2016 11:06:02

ok, I'll kill the board... as soon as I created it, I just wanted it to die. curse
me! lol I have serious issues! :p can one of you be so kind to kill the board?
thank you! and... wow, thanks cody for the info.

Post 20 by sia fan bp (I'm going for the prolific poster awards!) on Monday, 16-May-2016 11:09:11

I regret making the board. I really do. Beyoncae slayys as well, and you can
say she's better then Sia. And, I do have some negative thoughts as well
about Sia but still like her. (what's wrong with me?) I mean, when she
performs live, it's horible. just sayin.

Post 21 by SilverLightning (I've now got the silver prolific poster award! wahoo!) on Monday, 16-May-2016 11:25:42

Wow Lakeria, its a board about someone's personal taste in a singer, no need
to be quite such a flaming bitch about it. So you don't like her, neither do I, this
time we actually are talking about someone's opinion on something, so you're
no more right than she is. Calm the fuck down and play nice.

Post 22 by Ebony Flames (Zone BBS Addict) on Monday, 16-May-2016 11:33:14

Really?
1. Anyone can feel any way about anything they so desire. Really, they can say how
they feel, too, but there are nice ways to say things and there are ... really rude ways
to say things.
2. I've never heard her music, but I'm nut usually a mainstream person.
3. Telling someone their post can die is rude. As I said before, anyone can feel and say
anything they like.
4. Marilyn, stop placating people. You're allowed to post topics like this. don't let
people discourage you. You're not as bad as apple peaches and you dont post spammy
posts.

Post 23 by sia fan bp (I'm going for the prolific poster awards!) on Monday, 16-May-2016 11:34:14

wow... cody defending me? lol, lakeria, you are ignored. you know it all...
um... sorry. but stop! I made this board cuz I felt like it. you don't like her,
it's ok. but, at least stop making people feel like shit for posting what they
like. do I say something about your boards? nope. so why criticize mine?

Post 24 by AgateRain (Believe it or not, everything on me and about me is real!) on Monday, 16-May-2016 17:15:52

Nah, pretty spammy to me, and I am quite frankly tired of hearing about her...

So, no, I will not stop being bitchy.

Post 25 by AgateRain (Believe it or not, everything on me and about me is real!) on Monday, 16-May-2016 17:17:42

And, tell me the last time I posted a board about my favorite rapper? hmmm? Hmmm? Let's hear it!

Post 26 by sia fan bp (I'm going for the prolific poster awards!) on Monday, 16-May-2016 17:28:40

I'm not talking about your rapper board. Frankly, don't care. I don't criticise
what you post. but criticising someone who has a right to say what she/he
likes is just... messed up. you don't like this topic, don't post in it.

Post 27 by sia fan bp (I'm going for the prolific poster awards!) on Monday, 16-May-2016 17:33:07

At least I'm not posting shit about my day like what's her face. I'm nothing
like that... so... stop comparing me to her. All ranting and stuff aside, I'm
gonna kill the board to stop the critisism.

Post 28 by SilverLightning (I've now got the silver prolific poster award! wahoo!) on Monday, 16-May-2016 17:39:26

So wait, you're of the opinion that because you're tired of hearing about a
subject, that its spam and you can criticize someone else for talking about it?
How about you get down off your high horse and kiss my lily white ass Lakeria.
You don't get to be the judge of what Marilyn or anyone elss talks about. This
isn't the first time you've done this. You seem to be laboring under the delusion
that the rest of us are here to serve your whims, and that when you're done
with a subject the rest of us should just shut up for your listening pleasure.

I realize you're a young thing, and that you've probably never been told this
before, but the world, and certainly this cite, does not revolve around your
smug and self-satisfied ass. If you're tired of hearing about Sia, skip the post
titled "has anyone heard of sia". How about, if you're tired of a subject, you
don't click on the board which is clearly dedicated to that subject? That would
be the logical thing to do, or are you just too high and mighty to worry about
logical things you sanctimonious priss.

I don't know where you got the notion that you were the big woman on
campus around here, but you sure as fuck ain't. You're a snot-nosed stuck-up
child as far as I can tell, and this entire board proves it. If you want to do the
mature thing, you should apologize the Marilyn for being a brat on her polite
and friendly board post.

Post 29 by sia fan bp (I'm going for the prolific poster awards!) on Monday, 16-May-2016 17:43:31

I already ignored her cody, thanks for defending. I am not dealing with her
critisism.

Post 30 by Remy (I've now got the silver prolific poster award! wahoo!) on Monday, 16-May-2016 18:06:47

People posting what they like. Others wining about not wanting to hear about it, then perpetuating the issue when people tell them to grow up. Pretty much business as usual on the internet. Just to add my own two cents here, I'm not all that familiar with Sia's music, sung or just written, but I find Adelle has one heck of a powerful voice, cracking or not. I generally avoid much of the north American music scene, but I'd like to think I know serious talent when I hear it. As for that song Diamonds by Riana, a lot of that stuff does nothing for me, but my wife likes it. Every time I hear that hook "shine bright like a diamond" whining from her vocal chords it’s like someone is chewing food really loudly in my ear. If it weren’t obvious, I hate that sound. But, at least the rest of the song is sung, rather than spoken or rapped, and it isn’t that terrible Cake song she did. As for whose posts are more annoying on these boards, who cares? It’s a real cliché to say if someone doesn’t like it, don’t post. People who read posts they are annoyed with are either morbidly curious, hoping to be illuminating, or – and I seem to see this the most – just like making themselves heard. Either way there are four oppinions of my own, just because we’re all sharing ours. First, if Sia fan had titled the topic “Check out this song I wrote inspired by Sia”, it would have received half the views, and a quarter of the comments. Second, annoying topics and annoying posters – and not saying Sia Fan is either – are what get the views and comments, at least on this site. Case in point, Terence’s enigmatic 19th century-style ramblings. Third, people who get bent out of shape about posts like this aren’t going to make annoying posts go away, and are, in fact, perpetuating the annoyance factor by being wet-blanketed little grumble-pusses who just drag these topics back up to the top. And finally, at least half of you will have stopped reading this post after my second sentence. TL/DR and all that jargon.

Ah, we suffer bad music for love, don't we. hahaha.
Now, back to music.
Beyoncé , can really actually sing. She hasn't been lately, not really, but her early stuff when she was with the sister is some badass stuff.
Now she's got cash, so can do whatever she likes.
The Lemonade deal is interesting, and staying at the top, so maybe she's got something.

Post 32 by AgateRain (Believe it or not, everything on me and about me is real!) on Monday, 16-May-2016 19:34:07

Awww, little Cody, posting all that to be cool! :d

Hmmm, wonder when you were saying all of that when you blow up my pqn's wondering why I don't personally talk to you? Because we all know you actually kiss my black ass... in fact, you will do anything to do it...

So, Cody, cut it out trying to act all bad. That shit don't work on me. lol

And, I'm not the only person that's called her on this, and just as she has the right to put this garbage, I have the right to post my two cents.

Post 33 by AgateRain (Believe it or not, everything on me and about me is real!) on Monday, 16-May-2016 19:38:59

Now, Beyoncé has turned into her husband. The music isn't there for music, but for the dollars. Hence, the visual album that she put out. Also, I agree, I believe Dangerously in love was her best work. Not sure what the fuck happened after that.

Post 34 by chelslicious (like it or not, I'm gonna say what I mean. all the time.) on Monday, 16-May-2016 20:04:09

I am not a fan of Sia; whatever her problem, whether poor technique, substance abuse or what have you, she isn't one of the most talented people I listen to.
That being said, everyone is entitled to like whoever they choose to, just like everyone is entitled to share their opinion (whatever it may be).

Post 35 by sia fan bp (I'm going for the prolific poster awards!) on Monday, 16-May-2016 20:14:39

thank you.

Post 36 by forereel (Just posting.) on Tuesday, 17-May-2016 1:09:08

Well, my opinion is that Lemonade is sweet.
It is different.
Not because it is a visual album, this has been done before, but it is totally different.
I spent my $$ on it even.
If the music is for the $, well, she's doing a good job with the art, because it has opened wallets.
People don't pay for junk.
Now, let's talk Sia. Same deal, just a different fan base.
Drugs seems to be a musicians vain, so we can't really use that.
Maybe it is the stress of fame, the hours that must be traveled, or just that you've got the money, so you can be a bigger drug user then you were anyway, I'm not sure.
Some make it over that hump, others lose the magic when they give up the stuff.
Some, the stuff takes the magic away, like Whitney, but, drugs and music will always go together it seems.
So, Sia is just being a musician.
Let me go now and listen to her some.

Post 37 by SilverLightning (I've now got the silver prolific poster award! wahoo!) on Tuesday, 17-May-2016 9:10:03

Well, we don't actually know if its because of drugs. it could just be poor vocal
technique, or smoking. Could be a lot of things. But, I don't only dislike her
because of her cracky voice. I find her lyrics boring and her music rather
soulless. She just seems rather thin to me, like a veneer of a singer; if you will.
Taht being said though, I don't really expect a lot of depth on the top forty pop
chart. There are good singers, Ariana Grande is an excellent singer, though her
lyrics leave a lot to be desired, but mostly the pop charts are not meant for
those with a lot of talent. That's just how the music business is.

Post 38 by sia fan bp (I'm going for the prolific poster awards!) on Tuesday, 17-May-2016 11:05:54

well, to sia's croakyness... I did a little... bleep bleep research! Says that she
used to drink and smoke when she was 13 or something. Also says that after
she had Graves Disease, she was about to commit suicide. Glad she didn't.
She quit touring in 2010 saying that it was just too much for her. Now, she's
touring again. touring means drugs. and, health turning bad again. which is
why I'm like, it's a bad idea for Sia to tour now! anyways... music is that way.
Drugs, sex, whatever. sad but true. Some of her lyrics from back then are
pretty good. I like her earlier stuff more then I like her latest stuff. maybe
writing for others is making her music a little like... the others. just sayin.

Post 39 by AgateRain (Believe it or not, everything on me and about me is real!) on Tuesday, 17-May-2016 14:35:15

Ug, Wayne, let me judge you for buying that Lemonade...! hahaha!

I bought two songs off of it, but other than that, didn't like it.

Post 40 by forereel (Just posting.) on Tuesday, 17-May-2016 15:14:39

A whole 17 $$ and 99 Cents too. hahaha.
It comes with a 56 minute video, so you get two in one.
It is actually interesting.
I think the main thing is the video.
I've only had a bit of it described to me so far.

Post 41 by sia fan bp (I'm going for the prolific poster awards!) on Tuesday, 17-May-2016 15:15:05

Cody, I do tend to agree with you about the state of music these days. That said, what is your musical preference? Have you heard of ADoseofBuckly by chance? He's a youtube personality, a critic of music and culture, and he rather reminds me of you. Or at least your online personality anyway.

Post 45 by sia fan bp (I'm going for the prolific poster awards!) on Wednesday, 18-May-2016 14:47:45

hmm, will look him up.

Post 46 by SilverLightning (I've now got the silver prolific poster award! wahoo!) on Wednesday, 18-May-2016 15:26:41

I have heard of him, and I absolutely despise him. Not for anything about his
opinions, but his voice. The way he speaks makes him sound like he should be
narrating a whiny teenagers fake suicide note. He whines everything, and its
like nails on a chalkboard for me. I"m a much much much much much bigger
fan of Todd in the Shadows for music reviews. I find him orders of magnitude
more tolerable, even when I disagree with him, and he's a lot funnier than
Buckley.

As for what my musical taste is, it varies by the day, and encompasses pretty
much everything. I can probably name something I like, or find something I
like, in just about any genre. I would add the small exception of things like
impressionist electronica or something like that. Other than that, I like
everything from the beatles to beethoven to billy joel to Bayside to Better than
Ezra to Blues Traveler, sometimes.

On the pop charts currently, since that's mostly what we're talking about
here, I like Tori Kelly, I think she sings with a lot of emotion and talent, and
she's a lot more genuine than most other singers. Ariana Grande is good,
though her newer stuff has been a bit boring for my taste, though she can pull
off a lot more musically speaking than the rest of the pop chart. She's probably
the best singer in the music industry today as far as I'm concerned. I like Taylor
swift, especially now that she's realized sex is fun and no one buys she's still a
virgin. Other than that, honestly, the pop charts put me to sleep. Its populated
by auto-tuned talentless hacks like Drake who couldn't make something
interesting to listen to if they hired me to listen to it.

Not sure that's exactly what you were asking or not, but there you go.

Post 47 by sia fan bp (I'm going for the prolific poster awards!) on Wednesday, 18-May-2016 15:29:56

Ughgh, drake! I hate his style, I hate his raping, just everything about him...
not good. Torri kelly though... I just got her album and love it!

Post 48 by sia fan bp (I'm going for the prolific poster awards!) on Wednesday, 18-May-2016 15:32:43

I've been listening toAriana Grande newest album.
It will be released Friday, but can be heard on Apple Music.
For some reason, she shound temid, is the only way I can describe it.
The albums okay, but still?

Post 50 by Remy (I've now got the silver prolific poster award! wahoo!) on Wednesday, 18-May-2016 17:56:00

Well, fame does all sorts of things to people, so maybe that will happen one day too, Sia. Let's hope not though.

Cody, I completely agree with you about Buckly's voice, though I admit to enjoying his older stuff, and agreeing with some of his "musical autopsies". These days I feel like he's reaching, and don't find him as humerous as I once did. I'll have to take a look at that other one for butt puke and giggles though. Yes, I say you did quite nicely answer my question. As far as pop music goes, I actually haven't heard of Tori, though I have no doubt I will in time. Tayler swift though … well, I admit to finding some of her melodies appealing, but her lyrics leave me scratching my head just as much now as they ever have. Still, except for that "sick beat rap" in "shake it off, her actual music doesn't make me roll my eyes.

Post 51 by Remy (I've now got the silver prolific poster award! wahoo!) on Wednesday, 18-May-2016 17:56:58

I was surprised not to see Adelle's new album on apple music yet. I'm actually interested in that one, much to my surprise.

Post 52 by SilverLightning (I've now got the silver prolific poster award! wahoo!) on Wednesday, 18-May-2016 18:10:50

I've only heard one single off the new album from Ariana Grande, and I
wasn't impressed. I will give her full marks for the attempt though. Its a 3/4
time old style soul love song with a lot of sexy on it, and I like that. I just can't
get into the song itself. Right now the album I want to make time for is the
newest one from Pierce the Veil. I checked out a couple songs, and it sounds
awesome. I'm sure I'll listen to them both in time.

Post 54 by sia fan bp (I'm going for the prolific poster awards!) on Wednesday, 18-May-2016 21:06:16

My friend got the album from Apple music actually, remy. :) or was it Itunes?
not sure but she had it. :) I have the hard copy of it. And, let me say that I
love this album more then I liked her last album, 21. I mean, 21 was good but
to me it was more depressing. this album though, has some upbeat songs. My
favorite off of her album is River Lee and All I Ask. :) i'm surprised it's not on
spotify yet.

Post 55 by forereel (Just posting.) on Wednesday, 18-May-2016 21:54:16

In some cases you'll need Spotify Premium to hear some artist.
Some srtist are refusing to allow play on the free version, because they don't get paid.
Streaming is all about earning some money.
If people aren't going to have to buy the album because they can stream the hell out of it, then artist want to be paid for them listening.
I totally agree.
Yes, Adele's on Apple music, because she gets paid.
Streaming is now the big money maker for record companies last year.

Post 56 by sia fan bp (I'm going for the prolific poster awards!) on Wednesday, 18-May-2016 21:57:21

I don't think 25 is streaming and will ever stream. The rest of her stuff is though. Also, streaming is totally the momey maker. Kanye's Life of Pablo streamed over 995 million times.

Post 58 by forereel (Just posting.) on Thursday, 19-May-2016 8:12:17

Sho ya right.
I have heard 25, so assumed it was streaming.
I went looking on Apple Music, and you all are correct.
Everything else seems to be available, but not that one.
I liked her iTunes Festaval while I was there looking. Pretty good.

Ah. It was Spotify that showed me the lyrics.
I got it via Starbucks for 3 months free, so I've not played with it much.
I swear I saw the lyrics, and it was Spotify.
I have Premium.
Anyway here's how it works.

Post 60 by Remy (I've now got the silver prolific poster award! wahoo!) on Thursday, 19-May-2016 18:23:01

And that's what's so great about streaming services, at least Apple music anyway. You pay a small fee per month, you get whatever you want, and artists still get paid. And you can download albums to your device so you don't have to rely on the internet. I admit I'm not entirely sure how artists get paid. it's something I mean to research. But they bloody well should. it takes a lot of effort to create content ...... even when some artists do have five writers to write their songs.:)

They are members of BMI, and organizations such.
When their music is played, radio stations and such pay so much each time the song is used.
Each quarter, artist receive a check for all these plays.

Okay Cody, a whole night of my life wasted because of Todd in the Shadows.:) I too don't agree with everything he says from what I've seen so far, but I appreciate his witt, style, polarity in oppinions and yes, yes, yes, also his lack of whining. His little piano intros are rather entertaining as well. I like how his opinions aren't always negative, and how he sometimes changes his perspective after reflection. My only issue is how bloody long some of his videos can be. But then I did keep watching them, so that’s my issue, not his. He also doesn’t swear quite as ridiculously as Buckly, which is also a plus. For Anyone else who enjoys humerous critics of music, I do recommend giving this guy a look.

Can you really call the night wasted when its spent entertaining yourself
though? I mean really.

When I should be creating my own content? ... Maybe not. I do need a vacation after all.

To post 41, there is a band called lemonade, well, the name is actually lemonade mouth.

It was also the name of a disney film, I think it was sometime in 2011.

Turns out it's based on a novel with the same name, written by Mark Peter Hughes.

So I guess technically the group doesn't really exist, since it was in a film and not real life.

it may surprise you that actually, i do own some of sia's music

color the small ones, we are born and this is acting as albums, then a couple of stand alone songs from 1000 forms of fear

personal album of choice is we are born, think it's a great album- i think i like every song on their

the new album's not bad, though i don't think the fast loud stuff suits sia-- i like it when she does the slow songs

youtube videos! every one of them were rejected except One Million Bullets.

Post 78 by chelslicious (like it or not, I'm gonna say what I mean. all the time.) on Monday, 26-Sep-2016 2:48:47

I never thought I'd say this, but after seeing Sia perform at the iHeart Radio Music Festival, I'm a fan of her singing, at least the way she sang live there. I didn't realize how many songs of hers I actually knew, but which I didn't like until she performed at the iHeart Radio Music Festival.
What I fail to understand though, is why she doesn't wanna show her face to the world. I mean, I know she says that it's about the music, and I agree to an extent. However, maybe it's just me, but the fact she doesn't wanna show her face makes me feel kinda suspicious of her. Like, what's she hiding?

Post 79 by sia fan bp (I'm going for the prolific poster awards!) on Monday, 26-Sep-2016 12:04:44

well... she says it's her privacy. she doesn't really want to be recognized by her looks. she doesn't want to be judged. yes, she was amazing live at the IHeart Music Festeval! And, yes, what doesn't really exist in the pop industry? mystery. she wants to create mystery too. there's millions of interviews where she explains why she doesn't want to show her face. just listen to her carpool karoke with James korban. that one made me laugh. :d

Post 80 by LeoGuardian (You mean there is something outside of this room with my computer in it?) on Monday, 26-Sep-2016 12:42:31

I can respect her for that. She's not doing it to be hipster different, she has a reason. And unlike Miles Davis when he would turn his back on the crowd, she's not doing it out of being pisssed at everyone and everything. Lots of people know more about Davis having turned his back on the crowd, than they know his contributions to jaz and trumpet playing.
I've always kinda liked Sia's piano. I remember Breathe Me when it first came out.

Post 81 by sia fan bp (I'm going for the prolific poster awards!) on Monday, 26-Sep-2016 13:02:53

yeah, I like her acustic versions of her songs. beautiful! :)
